Defensive driving means anticipating danger and making safe decisions before problems arise. On Kenyan roads with matatus, bodas, and unpredictable traffic, it is the most important skill a driver can have.
The core principle: assume other road users will make mistakes. Be ready for matatus stopping suddenly, bodas weaving, and pedestrians crossing anywhere.
